Converting Photographs to .BMP Format
Picture Planner will display any BMP format graphic file, including files
created with Windows paintbrush and scanned images.
One way to add your own personal photographs to picture planner is to have
them converted for you. Seattle Filmworks. will take
your negatives, slides or photographs and convert them to disk. They can
also process your film and return your pictures in prints and on disk.
They Include all the software to view, crop and save your photos to bmp format.
Using Seattle Filmworks software to add you photos to picture planner:
These instructions assume you have received you photos on disk from
Seattle Filmworks and have loaded it on you PC.
- Quit Picture Planner, if it is running
- Load the photograph from photoworks, Crop it if needed.
- From the File pull down menu select Save As...
- Rename the file with a .BMP extension
- From the Save file type combo box select Windows BMP 8 (*.BMP) file type
- From the Files Directories Box Select the Picplan\Pictures directory
(ex: c:\picplan\pictures\mypicture.bmp)
-Run Picture Planner, the pictures just saved willl display.
